A note from our senior pastor
Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors.
Such is the motto of The United Methodist Church. Here at First, our mission is to connect every single person we meet, inviting and leading them to believe, belong and become followers of Jesus Christ. No matter who you are, where you come from or where you're going, this is a community where you can find a home.
I'm so glad that you're here on our website. Look around a little, and if there's anything we can do for you, please reach out. We'd love to connect with you!
Grace and peace,
Rev. Brennan Hurley

When we Meet for Worship
ALIVE - Sunday Evenings
5:15pm in our Ministry Center
Blended - Sunday Mornings
In person at 8:45am in our sanctuary Live online and on 96.1 WTIM at 9am
What To Expect
We worship God as an expression of love for God. Worship centers us and reminds us that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. We gather to sing, to pray, to read scripture and to experience God's presence among us. From worship, we are called out to serve God and his people!
Our Sunday night ALIVE worship services in the Ministry Center begin at 5:15pm. Worship is casual, yet reverent. We sit around tables, enjoy sweets and sing along with our guitarists.
Our Sunday morning sanctuary worship services begin in person at 8:45am in a more intimate, offline setting where we share our prayers and our praises with one another. We go live online and on 96.1 WTIM at 9am. You can expect a mixture of traditional music from our choir and the hymnal and contemporary music. Make sure you hang around afterward for free donuts, coffee and fellowship!

What do I wear?
Whatever you want! Sunday evenings is typically pretty casual. You'll probably find the pastor in jeans. On Sunday mornings, you'll see everything from cargo shorts to suits. We don't care what you wear. We're just glad you're with us.
Where do I park?
You can park on the street or in the parking lots to the west and north of the building.
What do I do with my kids?
Noisy kids aren't a distraction; they're a blessing! We offer complimentary, staffed nursery care for kids 4 and under during our Sunday morning service. We'll invite the kids to stay around for a little prayer and song, as well as the time especially for children. They're also free to come back for communion. Want them to stay with you during worship? No problem. We'd love for them to worship with us.
Can I receive communion? Be baptized?
We have two sacraments in The United Methodist Church, baptism and communion. We typically receive communion on the first weekend of the month. We believe in an open table. In other words, it's not our job to put up a fence between you and the communion table. Anyone - regardless of age or membership status - is welcome to joyfully receive. We offer gluten free bread and use grape juice. Want to be baptized? Please get in touch with one of our pastors. If you're asking that question, it tells us that you're embarking on an exciting spiritual journey, and we'd love to walk with you as you explore where God is calling you to go.
